Plains States Friends Safari

26 August - 6 September 19: Long time SCI member and this group hunt convenor, Doug, hunted with us 12 years ago for the first time with his son Eric. He returned 4 years ago and this year he has brought 5 friends along for an epic Eastern Cape Safari. All hailing from South Dakota and Nebraska, the hunting has been good and enjoying our start to spring. 

They arrived on Monday and have had 3 full days of hunting. The only rose amongst the thorns, Michelle, has hunted a beautiful Zebra and Blue Wildebeest, well done! 

Conditions have been cool and excellent for hunting, yesterday a variety of 12 species was hunted, well done! Our second buffalo for the season was also hunted! 

Over the weekend, hunting went well, with John and Wayne both hunting Bushpig. Doug also hunted a super Buffalo. 5 excellent bushbuck were also hunted this week. 

The group all went for the full day photographic safari to Schotia and the Addo Elephant Park on Tuesday, before fitting in 2 more days of hunting tomorrow and Thursday before the departure.

Wednesday morning and John completed his hog slam by getting a good warthog boar. Wayne hunted a black springbok.
